Chattanooga police arrested Blake Bowman, 26, of Cleveland, Tenn., Friday on several charges, including aggravated statutory rape, aggravated kidnapping and resisting arrest.

At about 3 p.m., police made contact with Bowman and a 17-year-old female when they responded to a call about a disorder in room 241 at the Intown Suites located at 5743 Lee Highway. Police detained Bowman for further investigation after he interrupted officers and became agitated when they attempted to question the girl, according to the arrest report.

After being detained, Bowman "became combative and had to be restrained," after which he started to spit and scream racial comments at officers, attempted to bite one of the arresting officers and began to beat his head into the trunk of a police car before being transported to Park Ridge Medical Center for medical clearance.

Bowman also repeatedly threatened to kill or have someone kill the involved officers by "blowing their head off" or "putting them into muriatic acid," according to the report.

Officers then spoke with the victim at Erlanger hospital, where she had been taken to be treated for injuries.

According to the victim, she and Bowman, whom she'd had sexual intercourse with earlier that day, had become involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when he punched her in the face, hit her in the head with a perfume bottle and stopped her from leaving the room. Bowman then grabbed the victim "around the neck," and urinated on her while she was on the floor. The victim had also been cut about five times in the upper left breast by Bowman while trying to fight him off.

Other charges against Bowman are aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and retaliation against a judge, juror or officer. His bond is set at $192,000.
