Authorities in Bradley County have released the names of two men killed Friday when their Corvette hit a tree and split in two.

The crash on North Lee Highway between Cleveland and Charleston, Tenn., took the lives of Robert Douglas Farley, 35, of Cookeville, Tenn., and Davis Andrew Gregor, 19, of Rising Fawn, Ga.

Bradley County Sheriff's Office spokesman Bob Gault said the driver lost control while traveling north, went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Investigators said the car split into two parts. Both men died at the scene.

Gault said speed may have been a factor in the crash. The traffic unit is investigating.
