Police say Fulton County police car hit pedestrian

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - College Park police say a Fulton County police car hit a pedestrian.

College Park Deputy Chief Ferman Williford tells WSB-TV that the officer was on duty at the time of the Friday night incident. Police were not immediately sure whether the pedestrian, whose name was not immediately released, was in a crosswalk at the time.

Williford says the pedestrian suffered head injuries and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Fulton County police spokesman Scott McBride confirmed an officer was involved in the incident but wouldn't comment further.
