KNOXVILLE - A man accused of slashing his girlfriend's genitals in a jealous rage and strangling both her and their 3-year-old daughter pleaded guilty Monday.

Jorge Alberto Molina-Rivera, 30, confessed before Knox County Criminal Court Judge Bob McGee to two counts of first-degree murder in the April 2013 slayings of girlfriend Nolvia Aguilera, 25, and the couple's daughter, Allison Aguilera.

Assistant District Attorney General Leslie Nassios and Public Defender Mark Stephens brokered a plea deal in which Molina was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 51 years. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has placed a hold on Molina as an undocumented immigrant, which means he would be transferred to federal custody upon his release from prison and face deportation, records show.
