Pigeon Forge woman sentenced to 12 years in child porn case

KNOXVILLE - Kelly Louise Fitzmaurice received a 12-year, seven-month sentence from a federal judge on Monday, two years after she was nabbed by an undercover FBI agent for possessing and sharing child pornography.

Fitzmaurice, 34, offered only a tearful apology Monday morning, telling chief U.S. District Judge Tom Varlan, "I wish I could apologize to everyone involved."

She pleaded guilty in an agreement with the federal government in January. Varlan also ordered Fitzmaurice to pay $500 in restitution to victims and 15 years of supervised release after Fitzmaurice serves her prison term.
