Chattanooga City Council approved tonight a 10-year property tax break for a French auto supplier that plans to supply bumpers and fender parts for the Volkswagen Passat sedan.

City officials gave Mayor Andy Berke the go ahead to sell the 27 acre tract of land at Enterprise South for $1.4 million. Hamilton County jointly owns the property with the city and the Commission will vote on the proposal Wednesday.
