DeKalb County, Alabama, voters pick new revenue commissioner contender

DeKalb County, Ala., voters chose a November contender in the race for revenue commissioner and a number of state races in Tuesday's primary election.

Tyler Wilks defeated his opponent Royce L. Lader in the GOP primary for DeKalb County revenue commissioner. Wilks will face the present seat holder, Martha Crye Ogle.

A runoff arose in the race for state Republican Executive Committee DeKalb County Place No. 3 between Jack Stiefel and Scotty Vaughn. They beat out Tony Goolesby, the third man in the race.

Runoffs are set for July 15.
