A Hamilton County Criminal Court jury has found a 22-year-old man guilty in a 2011 murder at the Apison tennis courts.

Nathan Lalone was sentenced to life in prison. He was charged shortly after the Nov. 16, 2011, shooting. Prosecutors said that a mutual friend named Tyler Conrad called Christian Sosa, 19, to the tennis courts to smoke marijuana that night.

Instead, Conrad, Blakelen Adams and Sabrina Lovett went to a Walmart 10 miles away while Lalone ambushed Sosa and his girlfriend Meghan Bennett, firing at least 11 rounds into the car, killing Sosa and wounding Bennett.

Bennett and Lovett both testified during the trial that began Tuesday.
