PETA asks for suspect accused of cannibalism to be served vegan meals

CHATTANOOGA - PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, have asked Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves to place suspect Gregory Hale, on an all-vegan diet.

Hale is charged with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse; all related to the death of Lisa Marie Hyder.

Hale admitted to the murder. He told investigators he dismembered Hyder's body and buried her torso in a burn pile at his home. He also admitted to eating part of the victim after murdering her.
