The man charged in a Jan. 28 fatal shooting of 25-year-old Raphael White on Sixth Avenue in Chattanooga has been captured in Memphis last night, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Rodney Jennings Jr., also known as "Big Head," was sought by Chattanooga Police and the TBI in the slaying on charges of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Jennings was located at an apartment complex on Oak Bark Lane in Memphis. He was taken into custody without incident by members of the U.S. Marshal's Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, and is being held in the Shelby County Jail.

Jennings was added to the TBI's Most Wanted list 30 days ago.

When police got to the scene of the shooting in January, they found White with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at Erlanger Hospital.

The exact motive and circumstances of this incident are still under investigation, TBI officials said in a statement released this morning.
