Lady Vols fall in women's NCAA tournament

The Tennessee women's basketball team's season came to an end Sunday with a 73-62 loss to Maryland in the third round of the NCAA tournament.

Alyssa Thomas scored a career-best 33 points and 13 rebounds to lead the fourth-seeded Terrapins to the upset win and into the Elite Eight. The Lady Vols struggled to stop Thomas all day, and she made them pay.

In her final game as a Lady Vols, Meighan Simmons scored 31 points, but she made five of the Lady Vols 22 turnovers.
