In early tally, Fairbanks is leading Skillern for District 1 of Hamilton County Commission

Minutes after the polls closed Tuesday, the elections for various county commission races are starting to shape up.

In the District 1 Republican primary, Randy Fairbanks is leading with 376 votes over incumbent Fred Skillern's 337 votes.

There is no Democratic opposition in the August election.
