Falling safe fatally crushes AL mover

MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. - Jefferson County authorities a man has died after a safe that he was moving toppled onto him.

AL.com reported Wednesday that the Jefferson County Coroner's office identified the man as 19-year-old Trayshawn Presha, who worked for a moving company.

Deputy Coroner Bill Yates says Presha and other movers were using a dolly to move the safe along a ramp that wasn't long enough. Yates says the movers added a second unsecured ramp as an extension, which began to slide when safe was on top of it. Yates says the other movers were able to get out of the way before the safe fell and Presha was pronounced dead at University of Alabama Birmingham hospital around 6:30 p.m.
