Couple sued by Hamilton County WWTA for trying to pay bills with cash loses in court

Chancellor Jeffery Atherton has ruled against an East Ridge couple sued by the Hamilton County Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority for nonpayment of bills.

Rick Carpenter, who has not paid a sewer bill for two years because the WWTA has refused his cash, says he intends to appeal the matter to a higher court.
