Memphis fugitive caught in Texas

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Authorities say a fugitive charged with brandishing a sawed-off rifle at a Memphis school six years ago has been captured in Texas.

The U.S. Marshals Service says Jerome Johnson skipped bond after his arrest in May 2008 on charges of possessing a prohibited weapon and carrying a weapon with intent on school property.

After years of investigating, a fugitive task force determined that Johnson was working at a fast food restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas. The Marshals Service says Johnson was arrested in Fort Worth on Tuesday.

Johnson was transported to the Tarrant County Jail where he awaits extradition to Shelby County.
