Authorities in Tullahoma, Tenn., are looking for help to find a local man last seen walking not far from his home.
Roger Dale Burgess, 56, hasn't been seen since around 12:30 p.m. CDT on May 22, when he left his daughter's apartment in the Dossett Homes complex in the area of East Moore-East Grundy streets, Tullahoma Police Department investigator Tyler Hatfield said Friday.
Hatfield said Burgess was seen by a family member later that afternoon walking along Country Club Drive, about a half-mile west of his home.
A flier issued by the family also notes that he was seen May 23 walking along Carter Blake Road, about a mile-and-a-half northeast of the apartment complex.
Burgess is described as white, balding, about 30 pounds thinner than he is in the photo, and 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red "Tap Out" shirt, and a "Duck Dynasty" hat with "Happy, Happy, Happy" on it, Hatfield said.
"He did work around town for a man he worked with, but he hasn't been to work in the last couple of weeks," the investigator said.
Authorities said Burgess did not have his cellphone with him, but he was carrying his wallet and had left his vehicle at his daughter's apartment.
Hatfield said officers and others have canvassed the area nearby.
"We've talked to a lot of people in the neighborhoods," he said.
A family member posted a message on the North Franklin County Volunteer Fire Department's Facebook page about search efforts Thursday and Friday. The fire department in neighboring Franklin County has been getting the word out.
The family member wrote that part of the search was focused in the East Lincoln Street to Rutledge Falls Road area, where some reports of spotting Burgess were made. Those locations are east of Carter Blake Road.
Anyone with any information about Roger Dale Burgess' whereabouts is asked to call the Tullahoma Police Department at 931-455-0530.
