Second man arrested in Alabama woman's stabbing death

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham police say a second man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a 71-year-old woman.

Lt. Sean Edwards said in a statement Thursday that 43-year-old Gustavius Brown is charged with capital murder and is being held without bond in the Jefferson County jail.

Edwards says Brown was arrested along with 36-year-old Jeffery Justice on unrelated charges and was charged in the death of Linda Albritton after investigators learned that the men are acquaintances and were together when Albritton was killed.

Police say have Albritton and Justice had prior contact before the stabbing, but details on a potential motive haven't been released. It's unclear if Justice and Brown have attorneys.
