Chattanooga police: Woman says she was shot after refusing to get in stranger's car

A woman says she was shot in Chattanooga this morning after she refused to get into a stranger's car.

Bethany Kindred, 34, told police an unknown black man shot her just after midnight at 2400 4th Avenue.

The woman was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police say.

Three people have been killed in Chattanooga in the past five days.
