Lisa's Gold and Diamonds celebrates 24 years in business

When she opened her doors April 15, 1991, owner of Lisa's Gold and Diamonds Lisa Edge set out to make customer service her top priority. Today, she is celebrating 24 years in business thanks to her cherished customers and staff.

Edge began her career in the jewelry industry, working as a jewelry buyer for seven years and learning the industry before she went on to open Lisa's Gold and Diamonds.

"My main goal is always great customer service and satisfaction," she said. "My employees have been with me a long time, and everyone is like family, including customers."

Edge said she has many repeat customers and welcomes more, adding that she enjoys talking to people, learning about them and what they have going on in their personal lives. Friendship and loyalty are two key contributing factors that have made her business what it is today.

"I opened with two employees, and we've grown to six," she said. "Many customers we know by name, and we always hope for repeat customers. That's why it's so important to give good customer service."

Edge's store is open six days a week (with extra time at Christmas), and is a full-service jewelry store with excellent watch and jewelry repair available in-house. Her son Zack Edge is the store's jewelry repairman and does great work, according to several customer reports.

Lisa's Gold and Diamonds carries a full line of diamonds, bridal sets and wedding bands, including gold, tungsten, titanium and cobalt.

"Our selection of mountings is beautiful and we gladly offer layaway options," Edge noted.

The business also carries gemstones, semi-precious stones, and pearls. Watches available include Seiko, Pulsar and Citizen, and Edge noted that she also carries Seiko musical clocks.

"We also have Pandora, including charms, bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces, and we just got in their new spring line and Mother's Day Specials," she added.

Le Vian chocolate diamonds are also found in the store's inventory along with sterling Elle brand jewelry and much more.

"We have many unusual items such as floating opals, cameo jewelry and black onyx," Edge said. "We always strive to carry the most up-to-date styles in jewelry, and right now one of the top trends is for rose gold, which we have plenty of in rings, necklaces and bracelets."

Lisa's Gold and Diamonds also cleans and inspects jewelry for free and always checks to make sure there are no broken prongs or loose stones. It doesn't have to be purchased from the store. As Edge continues to celebrate 24 years in business, she is offering customers discounts on everything (excluding the Pandora line) ranging from 25-50 percent off.
