Dallas Bay home damaged in fire

A Dallas Bay home was damaged in a fire early Saturday morning.

According to a release from Hamilton County Emergency Services, a resident of the home awoke to the smell of smoke and called 911.

The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported heavy smoke at the front of the house when they arrived on scene. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the bathroom. No injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $15,000. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is being investigated by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
