JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Police say they have charged a Johnson City man with killing a Kingsport couple who went missing in January.
The Johnson City Press reports 43-year-old Eric James Azotea was charged Wednesday with two counts of murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence in the deaths of 36-year-old Arthur Gibson and 22-year-old Amber Terrell. Police say Azotea killed the couple and dismembered their bodies in an apparent drug deal gone wrong.
A judge on Friday ordered Azotea held without bond and appointed him an attorney.
An arraignment was set for April 29.
