Two men were reported shot Sunday morning in separate incidents.

Michael Boone, 33, was shot in his right buttock, a wound he said he received while walking down Bradt Street in East Chattanooga.

He told police just after midnight that he saw no vehicles or individuals, and declined to provide any additional information to the police or speak further with them.

Boone was arrested in July for a handful of drug charges, including possession of crack cocaine for resale and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

He has been arrested at least eight times since 2011 on various drug and other charges.

Around 6 a.m. this morning, another man was shot outside East Lake Courts.

Reginald McGruder was found outside the public housing complex on 4th Avenue suffering from a gunshot to the ankle.

He told police he had been shot and robbed of $200 by a black male in his mid-twenties, 5'6" tall, 140 pounds with shoulder length dreadlocks, carrying a black revolver.

He was taken to the local hospital.

Police are pursuing leads in both cases.
