A 20-year-old Chattanooga man faces a $100,000 bond after being charged with two counts of child rape and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

Quintis McCaleb was arrested Thursday at The Chatt Inn, 2000 E. 23rd St., according to court documents.

The arrest followed an indictment last week by the Hamilton County grand jury. The indictment charges him with sex crimes involving a child older than age 3, but less than age 13. McCaleb is charged with engaging in sexual penetration and oral sex with the victim.

The incident or incidents allegedly occurred on or before Oct. 2, 2014, according to the indictment.

No incident report describing the complaint or investigation was available on Sunday.

McCaleb is not listed as a registered sex offender with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. He is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court on Aug. 21 before Judge Barry A. Steelman.
