Hamilton County Commissioners may be spending a combined $33,737 on six discretionary projects, some of which are for municipalities.
Commission Chairman Jim Fields, who represents District 2, is asking commissioners to spend $6,027 to pay for a parking lot for Signal Mountain Middle/High School's indoor batting cage and $4,960 to repair a ceiling in a building owned by the Town of Walden.
In District 5, Commissioner Greg Beck is asking to give $2,500 in taxpayer dollars to Girls, Inc.
District 6 Commissioner Joe Graham wants to spend $12,500 in county money to help renovate and repair a pavilion and picnic area owned by the Town of Lookout Mountain.
District 8 Commissioner Tim Boyd is asking to give $1,750 to the Chattanooga Ballet and $6,000 to buy materials for the Sculpture Fields at Montague Park.
Commissioners will vote on the measures next week.
