SAVANNAH, Ga. - Campus police are investigating after a shooting at Savannah State University that left one person injured and prompted a lockdown.

Loretta Heyward, a spokeswoman for the Georgia university, tells The Associated Press the lockdown was lifted around midnight Thursday. She says the shooting happened near the student union.

Heyward says one male was taken to a hospital with injuries. His condition wasn't known, and it wasn't immediately clear whether he was a student.

Heyward says she isn't aware of any arrests so far. No further details were available.
