Regional historian to speak at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield

KENNESAW, Ga. - The president of the Kennesaw Historical Society will be the guest speaker when the Georgia chapter of the Trail of Tears Association meets Sept. 12.

Robert C. Jones also serves on the board of the Kennesaw Museum Foundation, which helped fund the 40,000-square-foot Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw, according to a news release.

The meeting is set for 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Educational Center at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield. The public is invited and admission is free.
