WRCB reports a Flood Watch continues across all of north Georgia until 7 p.m. Friday. See today's forecast here.

The Toccoa River, which is the Ocoee just across the state line in Tennessee, is about a foot over flood stage as of noon and emergency managers are expecting it to rise another six inches.

Robert Poole, spokesman for Fannin County Emergency Management, said the water is only about 2 feet from going over the bridge, and that debris is building up against the structure.

"We've got some propane tanks floating in the river, pieces of decks," Poole said.

Several people have been evacuated, though no injuries are reported as of yet, Poole said.

The Copperhill/McCaysville flooding is the only damage reported from the overnight storms other than a road wash-out in Rhea County, Tenn. Heavy water carved a ravine in the road and two vehicles fell in. The driver of one vehicle was killed.
