The southbound lane of Chestnut Street between 11th and 12th streets will be closed for about two months while a crane is installed and cooling units on the roof of TVA's Chattanooga Office Complex are replaced.
The Tennessee Valley Authority, which owns the 1.2 million-square-foot power headquarters in downtown Chattanooga, is replacing the chilling units as part of an ongoing renovation of the 30-year-old building.
Motorists may enter the Convention Center parking garage by entering Chestnut Street off 11th Street, but access to the garage off of 12th Street on to Chestnut will be restricted until the cooling units are removed and new units installed.
