Hamilton County Schools are closed today due to the road conditions and snow in the area. School Age Child Care will be closed. Employees who accrue vacation will report by 10 a.m. and maintenance employees will report on regular schedule.

DELAYS:
* UTC opening at 10 a.m.
* Polk County Schools - two hour delay
* Sweetwater City Schools - two hour delay
* Georgia Northwestern Technical College - delayed until 10 a.m.
* Jackson County Schools in Alabama are delayed until 10:30 a.m. CST
* Southern Adventist University will be closed until 9:30 a.m. at which time it will then open up to its regular operating schedule.
ROAD CONDITIONS:
Both the W Road and Roberts Mill Road have been closed to traffic due to icy conditions.
DeKalb County, Ala., sheriff's deputies are reporting that most secondary roads in the north end of the county are covered with ice and should be avoided.
OTHER CLOSINGS AND DELAYS:
The Georgia Department of Labor's (GDOL) Blue Ridge Career Center will be closed today.
All Walker County Government offices are closed. Walker Transit is closed.
Due to icy road conditions, the North Georgia Health District office in Dalton, Georgia and public health departments in Gilmer, Murray, Pickens and Whitfield Counties will delay opening until 10 A.M. today.
Decals County, Ala., government offices and the DeKalb County Courthouse have delayed opening by two hours.
Fannin County Health Department will delay opening today until noon.
