The murder trial of Deborah Elaine Wilkins has been postponed until Friday because the defendant broke her ankle Tuesday night.
Wilkins is on trial in Chattooga County for killing her boyfriend, William Robert Packer. She faces charges of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.
Wilkins is expected to undergo surgery this morning. Her trial was already set for a short day because forecasters expect snow to hit Summerville this afternoon. The trial was also delayed Tuesday because of snow.
