Cleveland, Tenn., police called to the Keith Street Wal-Mart on a shoplifting report ended by arresting three people on theft, drug and other charges.

Officers were told en route that a red Ford Expedition believed to be the suspects' car was leaving the parking lot, according to a news release.

Chief Dennis Maddux spotted the vehicle leaving the lot and stopped it at Tinsley Park on Keith Street.

Inside, officers found Lindsey Graham, wanted on five counts of felony theft and for failure to appear in court.

Also inside was Stephanie Wright, who was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after officers found 1.2 grams of meth and a glass pipe in the pocket of the drivers' side door.

A Wal-Mart clerk identified passenger David Alan Evans as the suspected shoplifter, and officers found an unopened gas-powered hedge trimmer box in the rear of the vehicle.

Evans confessed that the stolen merchandise came from Wal-Mart, the release said. Evans had warrants for nine felony thefts and five misdemeanor thefts totaling $9,000.

A fourth person in the Expedition, Michael Perry, was released at the scene.
