Bradley County authorities say the 30-year-old woman struck by a Norfolk Southern train this morning in McDonald, Tenn., has died at Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga.

The victim, identified as Meagan Snyder, of a Sim Godwin Road address, was with another woman on the tracks about 4 a.m. when she was hit, according to a news release from the Bradley County Sheriff's Office. The location was the intersection of South McDonald Road and Avenue B. The train came to a stop at the railroad crossing after its crew reported the incident, authorities said.

The second woman, identified by the sheriff's office as Shana Parker, 37, of South Lee Highway, was injured and remains hospitalized.
