Four arrested in area heroin trafficking bust

Four people were arrested Tuesday and more than $3,000 worth of heroin seized in a Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force operation, a news release states.

The heroin, supplied by an Atlanta-based drug-trafficking organization, was being distributed in Walker and Catoosa counties in Georgia and in Hamilton County, according to the release from Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson.

Arrested were Christopher Lamar Porter, 28, of Decatur, Ga.; Julie Allison Parsons, 30, also of Decatur; Rodney Lee Allen, 27, or East Ridge, Tenn.; and Lacey Samantha Wixon, 29, of Chattanooga. Two thousand dollars in cash also was seized.

Porter and Parsons each are charged with trafficking heroin, distribution of heroin and possession with intent to distribute the drug. Allen and Wixon each are charged with possession of heroin.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected, according to the sheriff's office.
