A hiker fell 30 feet off the east brow of Prentice Cooper State Forest Friday afternoon.
According to the Marion County Emergency Management Agency, the man, estimated to be in his early 20s, was hiking with four others, when he fell off the bluff at around 3:30 p.m. Central time.
Howard Cotter, Marion County EMA deputy director, said it took rescue crews more than three hours to locate the hiker.
"We spent most of the time trying to locate him, but we got him up the bluff and Life Forced him out of there," Cotter said.
Cotter said the hiker was alert, but in a lot of pain.
