Authorities removing 200 rabbits from Georgia property

Authorities say more than 200 rabbits are being removed from a property in Gwinnett County.

Georgia House Rabbit Society spokesman Jacob Lisy told WSB-TV Wednesday authorities were told of a rabbit overcrowding situation.

Gwinnett County police Cpl. Deon Washington said the rabbits would have to be removed in several trips because local authorities didn't have the resources to remove them all at once.

Washington said the owner of the property called for help controlling the number of animals and some will be up for adoption at the Gwinnett County animal shelter.
