Missing Georgia boy found safe

Authorities searching for a 12-year-old boy who went missing from his home in Hiram, Ga., said he was found safe after a Georgia state trooper spotted the car he was in near the Tennessee line.

Police had been searching for William Dorian Moxley since early Thursday morning, when relatives said a 33-year-old man who had been living with the family also was missing, as well as the family car.

Paulding County sheriff's officials said the houseguest didn't have permission to take the boy anywhere.

Authorities said the Georgia trooper asked the Tennessee Highway Patrol to assist in stopping the car, which was pulled over at an Interstate 24 exit.

Sheriff's officials said they're continuing to investigate how and why the boy ended up in Tennessee.
