The Tennessee Highway Patrol on Friday released the identity of a Charleston, Tenn., woman as the victim in a fatal two-vehicle crash Thursday on state Highway 58.

Officials said 44-year-old Michelle L. Womack died in a head-on collision with a dump truck at the intersection with Shiloh Road. The speed limit along that section of Highway 58 is 55 mph.

Investigating trooper Travis Ryans said in his report that Womack was northbound in her 2012 Ford Focus when for unknown reasons she crossed over the double yellow line and crashed into a southbound International dump truck driven by 60-year-old Hoyle D. Bunch, of Decatur. He was uninjured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. No citations were issued and neither driver tested positive for drugs or alcohol, according to the report.

It was initially reported by the Tennessee Highway Patrol that three vehicles were involved in the crash and the Times Free Press erroneously reported that there were two fatalities.
