Man shot after several opened fire in parking lot

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- A 23-year-old man was shot in the foot outside of a Tuscaloosa nightclub after several individuals opened fire in the parking lot.

Al.com reports the victim told investigators he was shot Saturday night while running through the parking lot of the club. He could not identify the shooter.

Lt. Kip Hart with Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit says club security told officers they closed the club early due to a fight inside. Investigators collected several different caliber shell casings from around the area and identified a few people who were shooting in the parking lot, but none appeared to be responsible for the victim's shooting.

Hart says investigators will try to get warrants for other crimes.
