Metro police gave scarce details on a body found in an alley Friday behind a residence in the 200 block of Hermitage Avenue.
Police did say the body is that of a black, adult woman who sustained trauma to the body. The cause of death is under investigation, spokesman Don Aaron said.
The woman was found wrapped in a carpet, and the body and carpet were transported to the forensic center, Aaron said.
