A local man was shot and wounded Sunday morning during a verbal altercation with two people in the 2000 block of Rawlings Street in Chattanooga, police said.
Marcus Fortson, 31, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound around 8:30 a.m. Sunday and was taken to the hospital after arguing with Kenneth Dixon Jr. and Milton Evans Jr., according to a news release.
Police were called to the hospital about 8:30 a.m., the release stated.
Dixon has multiple warrants out for attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, criminal conspiracy and aggravated robbery. Evans has been arrested for aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and criminal conspiracy.
