Walker County officials have closed Nick-A-Jack road because of a possible mudslide.

Officials fear that the rains that saturated the ground over the last several weeks could lead to a possible mudslide, which Larry Brooks, executive director of the Walker County Development Authority, said "has become a possibility."

Crews at 6:30 p.m. were enroute to close the road, Brooks said.
