Authorities in Jackson County, Ala., have arrested a former county school resource officer on sex charges in a 2003 case involving a then-teenage girl.

The girl, now an adult, is pursuing charges against Lee Carrell Perry Jr., 49 of Fackler, Ala., who now is charged on grand jury indictments with one count of second-degree statutory rape, three counts of sexual contact with a victim 12 to 16 years old, three counts of second-degree sodomy and two counts of enticing a child for immoral purposes, according to Jackson County authorities.

Perry is free on $65,000 bond.

In 2003, Perry was the SRO at Skyline High School but the then-teen victim in the cases didn't want to press charges. Perry resigned after the allegations arose and never returned to law enforcement.

Authorities said Perry has no known previous criminal record.
