A nine-year-old Cleveland girl will receive the Girl Scouts' Medal of Honor for saving her mother's life.

AnnaLee Simpson called for help when her mother, whose immune system was compromised by chemotherapy, went into anaphylactic shock following a wasp sting.

AnnaLee, her mother Jackie, and her 5-year-old sister were the only ones home at the time.

AnnaLee will be honored at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cleveland Public Library.
