One person died this morning in a three-truck tractor trailer crash and fire in Cleveland, according to Bradley County EMS public information officer Stan Clark.

Two truck drivers were also transported to SkyRidge Medical Center with injuries that appeared not to be life-threatening, Clark said.

The fire was reported around 8 a.m. this morning at APD-40 and Goldstar Drive. Emergency personnel were still on scene around 11 a.m., Clark said, although the fire has been extinguished.

Traffic in the area is down to one open lane, Clark said.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be handling the investigation into what happened in the crash and how the person died.

The large fire caused a plume of smoke visible across the city.
