Police cruiser damaged in Browns Ferry Road crash

A 16-year-old boy ran a red light and crashed into a Chattanooga police officer's patrol car around 8:30 a.m. today on Browns Ferry Road, according to police.

The accident happened at 200 Browns Ferry Road. No one was injured in the crash, although the police officer was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

Both vehicles were significantly damaged in the crash.

The 16-year-old was cited for running a red light, according to police.
