Sobriety checkpoints tileThe East Ridge Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office in a combined effort will be conducting a "sobriety checkpoint" and patrol saturation on May 22.
Locations include but are not limited to Ringgold, Spring Creek, Frawley, Germantown, Brainerd and Moore roads and unincorporated areas in Hamilton County.
The sobriety checkpoint will be held between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m with saturation patrol until 4 a.m. Officers will focus on impaired drivers and people who are not using seat belts.
The operation is in conjunction with the Click It or Ticket campaign sponsored by the Governor's Highway Safety Office.
