Chattanooga police identify victim of Southside Market shooting

Chattanooga police have identified the man shot in front of the Southside Market this morning.

28-year-old Ladarius L. Johnson told police he was outside the store at 200 W. 38th Street when he heard gunshots around midnight. He ran inside and realized he had been shot.

Johnson flagged down a police officer who called EMS. Police say he suffered two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital.

He was unable to provide suspect information.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.

The shooting was one of two shooting this morning that are believed to be unrelated. The second shooting happened on Dodds Ave.
