Injured hiker rescued at Signal Point Trails

At 8:30 a.m., a 911 call was made reporting a 57-year-old man had sustained injuries from a low fall from a suspension bridge located on the Signal Point Trails at the Rainbow Lake area.

Signal Mountain Fire Department responded and requested assistance from Walden's Ridge Emergency Services for additional equipment and manpower.

According to Signal Mountain Fire Chief, Eric Mitchell, the patient sustained minor injuries and will be transported by Hamilton County EMS to Erlanger Medical Center. His name is unknown.
