ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. -- A sheriff says a juvenile has been arrested in the slaying last May of a 79-year-old East Tennessee woman at her home.

Media outlets report Hawkins County Sheriff Ronnie Lawson announced the arrest Monday. Lawson also said Hawkins County Juvenile Judge Daniel Boyd had barred information from being released in the case.

No information was provided about the juvenile or the charges filed.

Margaret Sliger was found slain in the yard outside her home in Mooresburg on May 18.

She was a retired elementary school teacher and church organist and raised chickens, cows and other animals on a small family farm where she lived all her life.
