Kadarius Johnson, 19, really wanted to fight on Monday.

Johnson, who police say is a known Rollin 20s Crips gang member, pulled up to a home on Sholar Avenue around 5 p.m. and told a woman to send out her son so the pair could fight.

The mother, who will not be identified by the Times Free Press, told Johnson to get off her property and called police. But Johnson told her that if her son didn't fight him, he'd find him on the street and "take care of him," according to court records.

Johnson clutched a black gun tucked in his waistband as he threatened her, the woman told police. Then he jumped into a gold sedan and fled before police arrived.

Four hours later, officers stopped Johnson on Brainerd Road because he was driving a vehicle that was involved in a home invasion, police said. It's unclear from court records whether that vehicle was the gold sedan or another vehicle.

The vehicle smelled of marijuana and officers found a small amount of it in the passenger front seat, according to court records. Everyone in the vehicle was either a member or an associate of the Rollin 20s Crips, the arresting officer wrote in Johnson's affidavit.

No one in the car could say where the marijuana came from or who it belonged to, so all were charged with possession of marijuana.

Johnson also was charged with driving on a revoked license and financial responsibility. He was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the confrontation on Sholar Avenue and is being held on a $13,500 bond.

Police say Johnson has been linked to several shootings.
